Jenny McCarthy, Donnie Wahlberg Getting Reality Show
Newlyweds Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg have agreed to do a reality show, the couple announced Tuesday. The show will be called Donnie Loves Jenny and will air on A&E.
The couple are jumping into this reality series full force. Both McCarthy and Wahlberg will executively produce the show and they have even started up a production company, D&J Productions, in order to do so. The couple released a statement regarding the new show:
“Not only have we found a new home together, we have found the perfect place for our exciting new projects to live with A&E Network,” they said. “We’re so excited about this deal and look forward to a long and successful relationship creating entertaining and provocative unscripted programming with our partners at A&E. Our feeling is, who better to make our first show for the network about than about us? We love working together and with our crazy schedules this gives us the chance to both work and play together.”
Donnie Loves Jenny‘s first season will consist of ten episode. The first episode will be a one-hour special documenting their recent lavish wedding, and the remainder of the season will be 30-minute episodes.
Donnie Wahlberg currently stars opposite Tom Selleck in the CBS police drama Blue Bloods, which airs on Friday nights. He also tours occasionally with his legendary boy band, New Kids On The Block. Jenny McCarthy, who made a splash on the MTV dating gameshow Singled Out, sat down for one season on The View before moving over to Sirius XM Radio to host her own show. In addition, McCarthy is a bestselling author and has contributed to books about autism, as her son suffers from the ailment.
The Jenny McCarthy, Donnie Wahlberg reality show is expected to follow Wahlbergers, an A&E reality show focusing on the Wahlberg brothers’ Boston restaurants.
