Joey McIntyre – The McCarthys Fresh Faces of Fall

Joey McIntyre stars as Gerard in the new CBS fall comedy, The McCarthys, playing a twin brother in a close-knit, sports-crazed Boston family of six. We asked Joey some of life’s toughest questions to see what’s behind this fresh face of fall.

1) If you could spend the day with any CBS star past or present, who would it be and why?

Doris Roberts from Everybody Loves Raymond. She is hilarious and someone whose performance in that show is really something to live up to. I see my character on The McCarthys as cut from the same cloth as her “Marie” – brutally forthright.

2) If you could teleport to any time and place in history where would you go?
Being from Boston, I’d say somewhere around 1770s. Maybe John Adam’s neighbor – the farm next door. And we chat from time to time at our shared fence about all the going on in the city.

3) How would you boil down your life philosophy using only a Twitter hashtag?
#LifesaGardenDigIt

4) What’s on your music playlist right now?
Kind of an Apple iRadio dude lately. Getting into country a bit – I think that means I’m getting old

5) What kinds of photos are you a sucker for on Instagram or other photo sharing sites?
Anything… it’s all in the framing.

6) What’s your “go-to” karaoke song?
Tiny Dancer.

7) What character from another CBS show would your character have a crush on?
Will Arnett on The Millers – ripe for a bromance.

8) What prop would you most want to steal from the set of your show?
The casket from episode one – ya never know when you’ll need it.
9) What was your very first job?
Raking leaves. Once I swung the weed wacker too hard and it flung out of my hands, into traffic and into the hood of a passing car.
10) What famous person, dead or living, would you like the chance to have dinner with?
Alec Baldwin.

The McCarthys premieres on Thursday, October 30th 9:30/8:30c on CBS.
