Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg Together Forever? ‘The View’ Host BLASTED on Twitter Over Vaccines, Autism Debate, Boyfriend Helps Girlfriend
(Photo : Instagram) There’s no doubt that boyfriend Donnie Wahlberg was there to support his girlfriend Jenny McCarthy through all the backlash she received on Twitter about how vaccines relate to children with autism.
Jenny McCarthy received major backlash for being kind of anti-vaccination on Twitter during one of her question sessions, and we have a good feeling that boyfriend Donnie Wahlberg was there to support her during all the wrath.
The 41-year-old “The View” host took to Twitter on Thursday, March 13 to ask her 1.3 million Twitter followers: “What is the most important personality trait you look for in a mate? Reply using #JennyAsks.”
And she definitely got some interesting responses, most of which were blasting her stand on vaccines.
Let’s give a little background though.
According to The Daily Beast, McCarthy’s son Evan was diagnosed with autism in 2005 and believes that vaccines are linked to autism in children.
The website continued:
Though she has clarified that she “and the autism community” are not anti-vaccine per se, they are “anti-toxin and anti-schedule.” That is, she believes the standard vaccination schedule for kids is “too many too soon” and the “toxins” in vaccines (mercury, especially) cause children harm.
Apparently, most people in the world don’t agree with McCarthy. Here are some of the ripping comments/responses from Twitter to McCarthy’s question:
“Someone who think vaccines are safe, Botox is poisonous and who doesn’t pick their nose and eat it on MTV #JennyAsks.”
“My ideal mate likes the idea of kids not getting polio #jennyasks.”
“Somebody who gets that refusing vaccines because of ‘toxins’ and then shilling for e-cigs makes you a pathetic hypocrite #JennyAsks.”
“My ideal partner understands that ‘doing my own research!!1!’ isn’t cherry picking blurbs from blogs. #JennyAsks.”
McCarthy finally responded on March 17 on Twitter, saying: “Thank you to all the haters who tweet my name. You make my Q SCORE higher and higher. It’s because of you I continue to work. Thank you! : ).”
Wahlberg doesn’t strike us as the kind of guy who likes to argue with everyone, especially irate fans on Twitter.
The 44-year-old “Blue Bloods” actor did recently tweet something on his Twitter account.
“To all the late night lurkers… The vampires… The lonely hearts… The lingerers… the night owls… & the lost souls… I love ya lots!” he tweeted on March 17.
We are also pretty sure that Wahlberg would be by McCarthy’s side during all of this hoopla.
